Weekly free credits

Every account receives 50 free credits each week (allocated every Sunday). For a typical user, that covers creating claims, importing a reasonable number of bank transactions, and storing documents. Heavy AI usage or large imports may require buying additional credits.

How credits are used

Credits are deducted for document storage (per file), creating claims, importing bank transactions, and optional AI-assisted matching. AI requests use more credits per call than routine actions. You can see a full breakdown and your usage over time in the app under Account → Usage.

Household sharing

If you use household sharing, all members share the same credit balance. One purchase or weekly allocation covers the whole household — no need to buy credits per person.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. You receive a weekly allocation of free credits (every Sunday). For many users, this covers typical usage without paying. You can always buy more credits if you need them.

What happens when credits run out?

When your balance reaches zero, ClaimStation switches to read-only mode: you can still view all your data, but you cannot create or edit claims, import transactions, upload documents, or use AI features until you add credits or receive the next weekly allocation.

Can I share credits with family?

Credits are tied to the household account. When you use household sharing, all members draw from the same credit balance. One purchase covers everyone in the household.

How are credits deducted?
