Household sharing
Households let you share claim data with family members. Create a household, invite others by email, and non-private claims and bank accounts become visible to all members. Household settings are organised into Overview, Members, and Dependants tabs.
Dependants
Dependants are household members who don’t have their own ClaimStation account — for example, children or elderly family members. The household owner can add dependants with a name, relationship type (child, spouse/partner, parent, sibling, other), and optional date of birth.
Beneficiary
When creating or editing a claim, you can optionally select whom the claim is for using the Beneficiary dropdown. Choose yourself, another household member (with an account), or a dependant (without an account). Members and dependants are shown in separate groups; dependants show their relationship (e.g. child) in parentheses. This helps you track claims for the whole family in one place.
Upgrading dependants
If a dependant later creates their own ClaimStation account and joins the household, the owner can link them to their existing dependant record. All claims associated with that dependant are migrated to the new user account, preserving the claim history. Use the button next to a dependant to start this process.
Pending invitations
As the household owner, you can see a list of pending invitations (email and date sent) on the household settings page. You can cancel any invitation before it is accepted.
Linking when you join
When you accept an invitation to a household, if dependants with similar names exist, you can link your account to one and migrate their claims to you, or skip and stay separate.
